Silk Typhoon (also known as Hafnium), a Chinese state-backed hacking group, targeted the US Treasury Department’s Offices of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) and Financial Research. They used a stolen BeyondTrust remote support key to access unclassified data, including documents related to potential sanctions.
